Principle Photography for Mike Evin's 'Almost Called You Babe'

It was a privilege and a pleasure to work with Toronto singer/songwriter Mike Evin. We got on very well, collaborating closely on the look and feel of the video. Back in July we filmed some lighting tests, but delays in scheduling prevented us from shooting until November!

The video is a one take performance, with a slight twist which I won’t give away here. We filmed, all in all, roughly 40 takes using a Ronin DJ S3 Pro gimbal. Lighting was tricky in that we had to hide every source since the camera moves 360°. We still managed to use nearly every light in our arsenal though, and we think it came out well.

Now all we have to do is grade the footage and possibly make some enhancements to some of the trickier elements. We be releasing it very soon.
